Leadership You Can Count On – And Partner With
Jim Haughey
Co-Founder & Former President
Jim Haughey | Co-Founder & Former President
Jim Haughey is the co-founder and former President of Atlantic Custom Woodcraft. A master craftsman, seasoned project manager, and hands-on leader, Jim was instrumental in building the company from the ground up—quite literally. When Atlantic was founded over 30 years ago, Jim was the go-to for designing, fabricating, managing projects, and installing millwork with the kind of precision and pride that became the company’s standard.
For 12 years, Jim served as President, bringing a unique blend of woodworking skill, business insight, and unwavering work ethic. His deep experience in commercial millwork and his commitment to quality laid the foundation for the company’s reputation for excellence—one that still stands strong today.
Before Atlantic, Jim served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as an aviation mechanic. Following his service, he spent decades traveling across the country leading installation projects for his father’s commercial millwork firm, gaining experience that would later prove invaluable. While he was involved in a number of start-up ventures over the years, none were as meaningful as Atlantic Custom Woodcraft.
Jim officially retired from the company in 2006, but his influence continues to guide its direction and inspire the generations that have followed in his footsteps. “It gives me great joy to see my family’s success,” he says, “and to know that our legacy is carrying on the millwork trade for generations to come.”

Known for his steady leadership and hands-on approach, Trevor is the kind of leader people seek out—not just for answers, but for encouragement, clarity, and the confidence to grow.
He has built a loyal team and a strong internal culture by promoting from within, coaching others into leadership roles, and creating a workplace where people feel challenged, valued, and supported. Trevor’s belief in doing things the right way—with integrity, craftsmanship, and a commitment to clients—has helped Atlantic earn its reputation as a trusted partner in architectural millwork.
“I enjoy the challenge of overseeing each aspect of the business,” he says. “There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching raw materials become something beautiful and lasting. But even more meaningful is seeing families thrive because of the jobs we provide and being able to support ministries and causes we care about.”
